WHAT IS VAF?
VAF (Vibe Arts Fest) is a youth-led arts festival that celebrates the creativity of Toronto and GTA youth. This three-day festival showcases young talent from VIBE Arts school / community programs, emerging artists, and those involved with Platform A.
This year, VAF is celebrating its 10TH ANNIVERSARY! Our theme, Artistry en Motion, focuses on the theme of infinity and the idea that art is continuous, flows through each generation, and never dies.
We are currently accepting submissions for artists, performers, and vendors!

As an emerging curator and art historian, Kristen is delighted to be the Gallery Coordinator for the 10th annual Vibe Arts Festival. Kristen received her BFA (Concordia University, 2014) and MA (McGill University, 2016) where she developed her feminist, anti-oppressive curatorial practices to produce exhibitions committed to showcasing diverse artists, non-traditional viewership practices and engage with topical exhibition themes. During Kristen’s tenure as co-director of Galerie VAV Gallery, she mentored emerging artists (both visual and performance) into working in a gallery environment to showcase their works. Her exhibition history includes: Queer Partnerships Presents: Two Weeks at the VAV (Montreal, 2012), Tactility of Objects: A Retrospective (Montreal, 2013), Empathy: Aesthetic Reflections of Marginalization (Montreal, 2013), CRYSTALINE: The Cinematic and the Handmade (Montreal, 2014) and Lincolnmania: Visual Legacies of Post-Abolitionist Art (Montreal, 2014-
2015). Kristen is excited to contribute to making VAF’s 10th anniversary an incredible experience and she would like to express her gratitude to VIBE Arts for selecting her to participate in this year’s committee.
